Chinanews, Beijing, Sep 1 – According to Beijing Daily, some 70 French vintage cars reached the Juyongguan section of the Great Wall on Aug. 29. They had been traveled 18,000 km from Paris to Beijing in 46 days, and visited Italy, Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan.Juan Paul, chairman of the French Vintage Car Club, revealed that Beijing is a marvelous city, and traveling through Europe to China and visiting the cities along the ancient Silk Road had been an exciting experience.Many vintage cars participating in this activity were produced between the 1860s and 1870s, and the drivers are from all walks of life. Some relatives of the drivers have also participated in this activity.
