Chinanews, Beijing, July 18 - "The rise of average wage in China doesn't mean that everyone will be able to enjoy such income hike," said Qiu Xiaoping, the director of the Department of Wages of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. In fact, the gap of wages between industries are widening.Qiu believes that the fast wage hike of some booming industries has contributed to the fast rise of average wage in China, causing people to neglect that the wages of many workers in China have remained the same, or even become lower.Besides, price hike, particuarly of basic necessities like housing and medicare, have also run counter to the rise of wages.
