2010年度金足奖评选结果日前揭晓，罗马王子托蒂成为该奖项历史上的第8位得主，同时也是自罗伯特•巴乔（2003年）和皮耶罗（2007年）之后获此殊荣的第三位意大利球星。

Roma hero Francesco Totti has won the 2010 Golden Foot award in recognition of his lengthy career with the Giallorossi.

The Golden Foot, awarded in Monaco on an annual basis, goes to a player over the age of 29 and who is still playing. According to the criteria（标准，条件） laid out, the winner must have "great technical skills, uprightness（正直，诚实） and fair play, popularity and international reputation with a successful career and credible（可靠的，可信的） personal achievements with club and country."

Ten nominees are chosen by a panel of international journalists, and supporters from across the globe have opted to recognise Totti's achievements ahead of fellow nominees David Beckham, Gianluigi Buffon, Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto'o, Steven Gerrard, Ryan Giggs, Carles Puyol, Raul and Clarence Seedorf.

Totti is an idol of the Roma support thanks to his wonderful performances since his emergence from the club's youth ranks in 1993. His finest hour came in 2001 when, under the tutelage（监护，指导） of Fabio Capello, Roma recorded a rare Serie A victory.

Though initially emerging as a playmaker（组织进攻的球员） , Totti was shifted into a lone attacker's role under coach Luciano Spalletti and was the top scorer in European football in 2006-07 when accumulating 26 goals in Serie A.

Totti is Roma's all-time record goalscorer and one of the greats of the modern game in Italy. He also helped the Azzurri capture the 2006 World Cup when playing as a No. 10 for Marcello Lippi's side.

He succeeds Ronaldinho as the winner of the Golden Foot and is the third Italian to win the competition following Alessandro Del Piero (2007) and Roberto Baggio (2003).
