Football. Boca Juniors beat Colon 2-1 on Sunday for a win that helped them go joint top of the Argentine Clausura table with River Plate. On the same day, their co-leaders secured their first win in their last three games when they beat Velez Sarsfield 2-0. The two Buenos Aires clubs have 15 points after seven rounds.
Hosts Boca took the lead after 23 minutes as Jesus Datolo hooked in from an angle. Fifteen minutes later Boca doubled that lead thanks to some excellent footwork from Leandro Gracian.
Colon managed to get on the scoresheet through Cesar Gonzalez's header three minutes into injury time. But it was too little too late and Boca ran out 2-1 winners.
Velez lose clausura lead

Just minutes later, Radamel Falcao Garcia coolly slotted it home to put River two-up.
