It requires only a small piece of skin the size of a fingernail to produce a large piece of artificial skin in a factory. Doctors only need to put the artificial skin of a proper size on the affected part of the patient's body, and it will well blend with the healthy tissues, and eventually be replaced by the latter.By the end of 2004, China had conducted 300 clinical tests on the reliability of the artificial skin, and the result was very satisfactory. It will benefit more patients in the world, as it can be easily produced and its cost is relatively low.
