Chinanews, Guangzhou, October 23 – The Chang’e-1 lunar orbiter will be launched soon at Xichang Satellite Launching Center in Sichuan Province, serving as the pioneer of China’s lunar development project. However, the other two lunar orbiters, Chang’e-2 and Chang’e-3, will be launched in Wenchang, Hainan Province. Although detailed information of the launching of Chang’e-2 is yet to be confirmed, the Chang’e-3 will be definitely sent into space from Hainan.Some staff members of Xichang Satellite Launching Center will be transferred to Hainan to build Wenchang Satellite Launching Center and to be responsible for launching Chang’e-2 and Chang’e-3.Xichang Satellite Launching Center will also invite some officials of Wenchang county government to review the launching of Chang’e-1.
