Chinanews, Erenhot, Aug. 8 – The local government of Erenhot in Inner Mongolia held a grand ceremony commemorating the establishment of the world's largest dinosaur sculptures.The sculptures were modeled on the "Wan" dinosaur, the world’s second largest dinosaur. Some 60 tons of iron and 1,000 cubic meters of stone were used to build these sculptures.The city is regarded as China's "cradle of dinosaurs", and the most important place in China where to find dinosaur fossils can be found, and Asia's largest dinosaur fossil was unearthed there. Local officials hope the sculptures can be listed in the Guinness World Records.
