Chinanews, Beijing, January 11 – Rumor has it that Beijing is planning to send some one million migrant workers back home during the 2008 Olympics, which is apparently against Beijing's Olympic slogan of “one world, one dream”.The rumor has been proved proved to be false. “Beijing needs migrant workers. How can we continue construction if we send them home?”said Sui Zhenjiang, the director of Beijing Municipal Construction Committee.“The migrant workers will stay in Beijing as long as their companies need them, ” emphasized Sui.Some 30,000 migrant workers are participating in the construction of Olympic projects currently, and they will continue to make Beijing a better place in 2008, after the completion of these projects.
