Nov. 27 - Chinese new rising cycling star Guo Shuang expressed her willingness here on Sunday to take her first Asian Games' gold medal in Doha.Tipped as a gold medal hopeful in 2008 Olympic Games, the 19-year Guo does not hide her ambition to become the best cycling sprinter in Asia."For me, the Asian Games is a big chance to prove myself to be the best one in the cycling track, not only in my country, but also in Asia," said Guo, who was just crowned in women's keirin ofthe UCI World Cup in Canberra, Australia last week.Under the guidance of her Swiss coach, Guo made significant progress during the past two years, collecting two national titles in half a year, and winning two gold medals in international competitions."I learned a lot when I was training in Switzerland. My coach designed a specific training schedule for me." said Guo.Talking about her next goal after the Asian Games, Guo said she had already set her sight on the Beijing Olympics."Winning a medal for the motherland is every cyclist's dream. I am young, and I think I still have some room to improve in this sport," added Guo.The Doha Asian Games cycling competition will be held from November 3 to 14. The 21-strong Chinese team will compete in all the 20 cycling events.
