The ceremonial first pitch in the San Francisco Giants' exhibition game at AT&T Park was thrown out by a blind woman.

Karen Parseghian (par-SEE-jee-un) asked the Giants if she could throw out a first pitch to be a role model for her young nieces.

This is a switch, usually the only blind people allowed on the field are the umpires.

Parseghian said she didn't want to throw out the first pitch like a girl.

Actually, if you’re going to throw like a girl, San Francisco is probably the best the place to do it.
